In 2019, your generous support helped animals in the following ways:
Another 31 travel companies committed to phasing out all cruel wildlife attractions. And you helped convince 17 more travel companies to commit to becoming elephant-friendly.
You helped two elephant camps in Thailand transition to become elephant-friendly.
Using our expert advice, online travel giants Airbnb, Booking.com and TripAdvisor all launched or updated their animal welfare policies during the year.

You helped change the lives of 18 bears abused for entertainment by giving them safe havens at sanctuaries we support in Pakistan and Romania.
And we celebrated with our partner BRC when they confirmed that no bear baiting events were held in Pakistan during 2019.

You moved Dolphin Marine Conservation Park in New South Wales to stop captive breeding.
With your help Virgin Holidays, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Air Canada, British Airways Holidays and Air Transat committed not to sell or promote any attractions featuring captive cetaceans for entertainment purposes.

You helped protect more than 2 million pigs from painful tooth clipping procedures through our work with CP Foods in Thailand.
You helped improve the lives of approximately 32 million chickens by convincing Brazil Foods (BRF) to raise them in higher welfare conditions.
You protested and signed an open letter to the NSW Agriculture Minister Adam calling on the Minister to support the phase out of battery cages for layer hens.
More than 11,000 of you signed an open letter to the Australian Prime Minister calling for an end to live animal exports.
How we spent your money in 2019

For every $1 you donated in 2019: 84% went directly towards protecting animals around the world, 2% paid for staff and administration, and to help raise the next dollar – 14% was spent on fundraising.
