Veggie recipes to help animals in farming

News

Send us your favourite meat free recipe and make the cut for our upcoming cookbook…

As you may be aware, for the second year running, we’ve joined forces with Meat Free Week to challenge Australians to give up meat for seven days and raise funds for animals in need.

This also raises awareness around the plight of animals in farming and how, by just starting to eat a little less meat, you could help the billions of animals who are factory farmed every year.

So, to encourage others, we’re asking you to send us your best meat free recipe and you could be featured in our upcoming cookbook.

What will you choose to make? It might be your classic, hearty Mushroom Spag Bol, an Eggplant Parmesan, a spicy Vegetable Curry or Black Bean Burritos. As long as it’s vegetarian (or vegan), it’s all up to you.

If you’d like to submit a recipe, please send via email in the following format:

  • Name of dish
  • Ingredients
  • Instructions on how to prepare and cook
  • Two low resolution pictures
  • Name and State (optional) or social profile to include.

Please remember to put “Meat Free Recipe” in the subject line of the email.

Send your recipe to: comms@worldanimalprotection.org.au

We’ll share the veggie cookbook on our website in the coming weeks so that other supporters can download them and try them out.

Better start prepping! Thanks, and best of luck with your culinary creations.
