The first hints of morning light have just started to shine over the forests of Sappraiwan Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand – and the elephants are already out for their sunrise walk!
These magnificent creatures love their morning strolls through the forest, accompanied by their dedicated carers. Some of them like to stop along the way for a few bites of bamboo, while others prefer to wait for the bountiful breakfast snacks that will greet them at the end of their walk.

Thanks to you, the elephants have found safe homes at Sappraiwan after a lifetime of suffering in the entertainment industry. Though some of them still sadly carry injuries from the cruelty they endured, they now have a safe haven where they can heal in peace.
