Entries open for the Jetpets Rescue Awards

14 June 2019

Entries are open for the Jetpets Rescue Awards, which celebrate the achievements in the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of pets in Australia. Nominate an animal lover you know for one of the eight categories before 30 June.

There are more than 24 million pets in Australia today. Australia continues to have one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world.

Sadly, the cycle of pets in and out of rescue facilities is often relentless. But, thanks to the fantastic work being done by rescue centres and re-homing facilities, attitudes are more positive towards pet adoption. According to Pets4Life, the Pet Rescue Website now receives 250 searches a minute from families around Australia who want to adopt a new furry member of the family.

These awards are an initiative to recognise the impressive work being done by rescue organisations around the country. We understand the importance of ensuring all pets have lives worth living and that's why we decided to support these awards.

If you know an inspiring pet rescue worker, don't forget to nominate them for an award. Entries are open until the 30th of June. Find out more and enter on the JetPets Companion Animal Award website.
